One of the largest family-owned construction groups, Wates posted a record order book of £6.6bn in its 2021 results. In the North West, the business secured more than £200m of work during the pandemic, with projects currently on site delivering offices, housing, leisure centres, blue light facilities and schools.
The business is currently working with the public and private sectors to meet challenging new agendas around sustainability, social, skills, innovation and technology.
