The agreement between the elite racehorse training stables owned by Michael Owen, and HM Legal, will provide a solid platform to pave the way for future growth of the top-flight facility based in Malpas, near Chester.
The day-to-day management of the stables is overseen by Classic-winning Trainer, Hugo Palmer, who moved to Manor House Stables in spring 2022. The partnership is a vital part of realising the stable’s ambitious expansion plans, with HM Legal providing the necessary expertise throughout each stage of the stable’s development.
Michael says:
“Our growth in a few short years has been incredible, leading to us training and stabling 145 quality horses today. It’s an exciting time for us. To move forward successfully and achieve our long-term vision, we wanted to work with a team which shares the same values as we do. The elite stables and extensive grounds are perfectly designed to showcase racehorse training and ownership. It’s also very different from its origins as a cattle barn. Michael and Louise Owen converted the site into the superb world-class facility it is today.
Training began in 2007 with 30 horses, expanding to 90 in just two years, and the stables now boasts 145 thoroughbreds.
Facilities include an equine lunge ring, pool and extensive galloping tracks, owner’s lounge, and impressive stable accommodation.
