Liverpool Woman Shares Inspirational Story Behind Participation in Pram Push Event

Natalie Hutton, a dedicated mother, is gearing up to participate in the upcoming Liverpool Women’s Hospital Pram Push event alongside her daughter Maggie.

Her decision to support this event stems from her personal journey and over two decades of being an outpatient at the Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust.

Natalie experienced firsthand the invaluable support provided by the Liverpool Women’s Hospital as her journey to motherhood was marked by immense challenges.

Natalie said,

“I have been attending the Liverpool Women’s Hospital for 20 years and I struggled for 13 long years to have a child. Losing five babies, two failed IVFs and multiple operations”. Natalie shares her story on her fundraising page.

Natalie’s final diagnosis was a septate uterus, a condition where her womb was divided by a thick piece of muscle. With the assistance of a compassionate surgeon and the expertise of Gynaecology Specialist Nurse AnnMaria Ellard in the Miscarriage Unit at the Liverpool Women’s Hospital, Natalie’s dream of motherhood became a reality as she welcomed her daughter Tilly, now seven years old, into the world.

AnnMaria said,

“It is lovely to see Natalie now with two beautiful Girls, here at the Liverpool Women’s Hospital we work hard to do the best we can for every patient and support our families in similar situations. Natalie’s determination to create a family against all odds is profoundly moving and it’s been an honour to play a small part of her journey”,

Despite facing further obstacles, including being on a waiting list for a hysterectomy, Natalie experienced the unexpected joy of falling pregnant with her second daughter Maggie, now two years old.

Natalie cannot express how grateful she is to the Liverpool Women’s and wants to give something back to the hospital that gave her everything she ever wanted, not once but twice!
